it’s my lonely planet

you wonder why i chose that title. it is a long way to go but i am happy to end this year with a bang.

warning: this is a bit of a egoistic post. it’s about me, some more me and then some more! but then those who have blogs are rather egoistic people don’t you think? we want to talk, and want people to listen 😀

so why ‘my’ lonely planet? if you google my name on the lonely planet india website you will now see 4 articles.  ever since i began travel writing i’ve wanted to be on lonely planet, rather ‘in’ it. but think there is a long way for that to happen? print is the next step, for now their online magazine makes my year 2013 a very special one indeed!

here are the links, would love for you to read them and let me know what you think.

the first: mumbai untraveled – i tell you about five places in mumbai that really makes the city come alive, it makes the city move away from the glorification of the South or Town. that is undeniable the best part of mumbai, but there is more. check it out.

the green lungs of mumbai – visit before they are eroded by quite and gradual encroachment. but think are too huge to destroy – or am i being naive? the sanjay gandhi national park

where are you partying on new year’s eve? we have some suggestions. where the party that night?

the latest: fly into 2014 in an armchair: here i give you a bunch of suggestions for books to keep you great company this holiday season whether you are a bookworm or not, you’ll find one that suits your tastes. check it out.

leave a comment with the book you are reading this holiday season?

wishing you a great 2014 with a lot, lot, lot of traveling, stories and adventures.

  2. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my
own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% sure.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Appreciate it
